Studio FAQ
Visit our Studio Booking page. Select the day, time, and studio you want, then fill out all of the questions about your use of the space. After you have submitted your request, the Studio Coordinator will reach out to you with further instructions. If you submitted your booking request after hours or on the weekend, the Studio Coordinator will respond to your booking request upon their return to the office. If it’s been several days since you submitted your request and you have not heard from the Studio Coordinator, it’s possible that your reservation request was not complete and has not shown up on the calendar. Renters can book the space through the end of the following month. For example, in April you can book through the end of May, in May you can book through the end of June, and so on. On the 1st of each month, the following month’s schedule becomes available. If you have a key to the studio, you may set up same-day reservations. If you are a new renter (or a current renter without a key) please book your reservation 48-72 hours in advance. New renters will not be able to access the studio before hearing from the Studio Coordinator. Keep it! The key is yours to keep as long as you will continue to the rent the space. If you will not continue renting, you can return the key and receive your $5 key deposit refund. You can see all of our hourly rates and fees here. You can contact the Studio Coordinator at studio@batterydance.org or call 212-219-3910. Please note that the Studio Coordinator only responds to emails and calls during office hours, Monday – Friday 9:00am-5:00pm. Battery Dance studios are located in a 5th floor walk-up building. An elevator is available under certain circumstances. If you need the elevator to access the space, please contact the Studio Coordinator (studio@batterydance.org) prior to your reservation. Currently, we do not require the use of masks or proof of vaccination for the renters of our studio.
