Maya Daley-Tulloch will be attending Howard University in the fall of 2019 to major in communications. She has been involved in educational and youth developmental programs: Fordham STEP, Development School for Youth at the All Stars Project, Summer Youth Employment Program, and Futures & Options. While Maya completed the Fordham University program, she visited underrepresented areas in New York City to learn about the history and present how to represent and support these areas with a focus in the arts.  In addition, she had conducted a research project with her fellow peers on graduation rates of NYC students. Her ongoing involvement with the DSY program has provided great opportunities to volunteer and help her community through theatre arts and a summer internship at J.P. Morgan & Chase. She has used dance to help choreograph for children in Grades four and five and is an active dance student at her company, Mind-Builders Creative Arts. Maya is currently a summer intern at Battery Dance through the Futures and Options program.

The Futures & Options Internship program provides paid, mentored internships and career readiness workshops to NYC high school juniors and seniors. Students acquire hands-on experience, gain entry to small businesses, nonprofits, government agencies and multinational corporations and earn needed money. Battery Dance has partnered with Futures & Options every year since 2004.
