International Projects Manager

Kylie Smith creates and manages international opportunities for Battery Dance. She first discovered her passion for leveraging the arts as a tool to connect across cultures while serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Fiji (2016-2018). As a former teacher and director of afterschool programs, Kylie is dedicated to creating safe spaces for young people to express themselves. She has seen first-hand how dance transcends cultural and linguistic boundaries, and she is passionate about harnessing the power of dance as a universal language to invest in the next generation of leaders across the globe. She holds a bachelor’s degree in recreation, parks and tourism sciences with an emphasis in youth development from Texas A&M University, as well as a TEFL certificate. Kylie is originally from Dallas, Texas and currently resides in Mérida, México. She is proficient in Spanish.​
