International Programs Manager
Alyese creates and manages international opportunities for Battery Dance. Her global career began over 10 years ago as a US Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine, where she taught English and developed sustainable programs and relationships through her love for education, community building, dance, and cultural exchanges. She has worked on multiple grants, and continued her involvement with international education and culture, leading workshops across Eastern Europe and Central Asia while promoting educational travel and cultural exchange. Alyese is passionate about providing opportunities for disenfranchised groups around the world, and truly believes that dance supersedes cultural, linguistic, social, and geographic boundaries. She holds a BA in International Studies and Anthropology from California State University, Long Beach, a TEFL certificate , and is also a certified fitness trainer. Alyese is originally from Los Angeles, California and is proficient in Russian and Spanish.
