Battery Dance company members will be conducting a dance residency at P.S. 90 – Edna Cohen School on Coney Island in Brooklyn. 20 classes will be provided over the course of one month to 50 students from the 3rd, 4th and 5th grades in creative movement, ballet, and contemporary dance. On the final day, students will demonstrate the dances they learned during an in-school showing for family and fellow students in June 2019.
The dance residency at P.S. 90 is part of Dancing to Connect 360, a program supported by The Pierre & Tana Matisse Foundation, The New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, New York City Department of Education, New York City Council Member Carlina Rivera, and The New York State Council For the Arts.
