Sara Seger

Sara Elizabeth Seger joined Battery Dance Company in May of 2021. Originally from New Jersey, Ms. Seger began her early dance training at the North Jersey School of Dance Arts and went on to attend all four years of high school at the North Carolina School of the Arts. After graduating, Sara attended The Ailey School’s Fellowship Program and performed Memoria alongside the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater during their NYC Center Season in 2010. In 2011, Ms. Seger joined RIOULT Dance NY and performed nationally and internationally, including several seasons at The Joyce Theater throughout her 9+ year tenure. Other Freelance Credits include: Lincoln Center Institute, Verlezza Dance, Robert Mark Dance, Andrew Harper Choreography, Trainor Dance, and Elisa Schreiber Dance Works. Additionally, Sara has taught dance classes across the United States for movers of all ages and abilities and has immense passion for sharing her love of this artform. In 2021, Sara graduated Summa Cum Laude through St. Mary’s College Undergraduate LEAP Program (Liberal Education for Arts Professionals). Currently, Ms. Seger resides in Brooklyn, NY with her husband who is a retired dancer. Undoubtedly, Sara owes everything to her family for supporting and encouraging her to chase her dream and love of dance. Sara is absolutely thrilled and honored to be a Member of Battery Dance Company.
