Irving Amigon
Irving Amigon was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Puebla, Mexico. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of Minnesota in 2011 under the mentorship of Toni Pierce-Sands. He was granted a full scholarship at The Ailey School and studied under the direction of Tracy Inman and the mentorship of Carolyn Adams. He went on to study at The Taylor School, Merce Cunningham Trust and Buglisi Dance Theater. Mr. Amigon performed with Battery Dance Company, Earl Mosley, Alison Cook Beatty Dance Company, and Taylor 2 of the Paul Taylor Dance Company. During his time with Taylor 2 he had the opportunity to teach multiple master classes in the Paul Taylor style while touring with the company. Mr. Amigon was invited to teach a master class at the Ailey School for the celebration of their 50th Anniversary in 2019, and is currently a Spanish-language teaching artist for Battery Dance.
