Dear Friends,
Joining with our City and the world community in mitigating the public health risk posed by the coronavirus, Battery Dance is cancelling in-person public activities and programs until further notice.
Cancellations
The majority of in-person public activities and programs have been cancelled until further notice due to the coronovairus pandemic. This includes our New York in-school programs, Dancing to Connect Nigeria, Dancing to Connect for Refugee Integration Germany, Dancing in Sacred Space at the National September 11 Memorial and Museum, and our Annual Dinner Celebrating Programs at Home & Abroad. A decision on the Annual Battery Dance Festival has not yet been made. The studio share program remains open with reduced capacity.
Virtual Programs Available
Battery Dance TV: Free daily dance classes in a variety of genres, new original and creative dance performances, and weekly artist talks on a variety of topics. All on a a regularly scheduled program and accessible to everyone!

Mindful Movement for Front-Line Health Care Workers: Free 15 minute mindful movement sessions for front-line health care workers over zoom. Designed to provide a dose of tranquility, the sessions require no prior dance experience. Visit: www.batterydance.org/givingback

Remote Arts-Education Learning: Battery Dance is providing remote learning arts-education workshops and classes for school youth, grades K-12. Programs in English and Spanish are available.

Private Dance Classes: Over Zoom, the dancers of Battery Dance are providing private sequential classes in a variety of genres to those interested in improving their dance skills.
