Dear Friends,

Joining with our City and the world community in mitigating the public health risk posed by the coronavirus, Battery Dance is cancelling all in-person public activities and programs until further notice.

  • Our New York City in-school programs will be postponed or transferred to distance learning. Please contact
  • Dancing to Connect Nigeria and Dancing to Connect for Refugee Integration Germany are postponed with future dates to be determined when the virus threat is curtailed.
  • Dancing in Sacred Space at the National 9/11 Memorial & Museum has been postponed
  • The studio share program has been suspended. All affected renters can either (1) Donate their rental (2) Apply their rental as credit to a future rental (3) Receive a full refund. Please contact

We do not take these actions lightly. The cancellation of programs and services damages us and our program beneficiaries in ways that are both incalculable and unprecedented.  However, given recent developments, it has become clear that social distancing is the most effective way that we will be able to limit the spread of the disease, and Battery Dance is committed to doing its part.

If you are able to contribute to Battery Dance to help us and our staff and artists weather the substantial loss of work and income, please click the button below.

Thank you in advance for your support, and wishing you the best of health.
